Back to Bali
For the end of our trip we spend a couple of days in Ubud and two more other days in the area near by.
In Ubud we stayed at a beautiful Balinese style guesthouse called Angga Homestay for about 180.000rp with breakfast included. The room was so lovely, modern from the inside and the architecture from the outside was incredible. We even had our own porch where we would drink tea. The family owner is full with good vibes and very generous. We highly recommend this place.
Around Ubud there are lots of pricey boutiques and a big Market Also there are many restaurants. Some super fancy and expensive but also really good food on many others that wont kill your budget. We first recommend to go to the Fair Warung Bale restaurant. The food is super good and the best part is that everything collected in the restaurant goes for the Indonesian children. The owners have a foundation that you can learn more about at http://www.fairfuturefoundation.org, where their project is too give free community health care to the people in need.
Other places we recommend at good price is Taco Casa. Portions are huge and good price. And for those days that you start craving some good barbecue, we suggest you to go to Naughty Nuri’s Warang. We got the hamburgers for aorund 70.000rp (since it was the pregnancy craving.. for both) but everything looked delicious and they cook it in front of you.
For the last two days on our trip we stopped at the Alan Puri Art Museum Resort for a treat. It’s a little bit further south from Ubud but not that far of a scooter ride. The place was marvelous and we got to stay in a villa with our own pool and gazebo. So nice! For only 40usd the night!… I know we went fancy those nights. The food is very pricey and not that good but Ubud is a 7 min scooter drive.
And here is where we say goodbye to Indonesia. An amazing place to visit and culture to know about.
With 6 months pregnant, time to go home? We’ll tell you how the story keeps going in our next posts.
Until next time…
