Kuta Lombok: Paradise Beaches

After our beautiful days in the Gilis we went to Kuta, in Lombok (not Bali). We stayed at a guesthouse in front of the beach called Full Moon spending 120.000rp. The beaches are paradisiac with no people.

The key is to drive out from the town with your scooter and find all these secret beaches. You will also see the local people farming around in beautiful valleys. Even we didn’t spoke the language at all, we got invited to drink some coconut water at one of this farms. We had a long conversation… who knows about what haha… Though it was super fun and special to experienced “skin to skin” the Indonesian culture.

The town is full with cheap restaurants and small markets. We ate in a local Warung for 80 cents (usd)!! Loved Local Food!

If you enjoy surfing you can take a boat that costs around 3usd one way, where they take you to the spot where the waves are. And a good idea is to go early in the morning to watch the sunrise.

In Lombok you can also visit the Rinjani Volcano. You can hike it in two or three days following the local people who prepare the camping and food for you. We didn’t go together because it was like a 9hr hike and with the pregnancy was too much, even though you can split it in a few days. But Stu had the opportunity to do it before and said its amazing, very worth it. We’ll definitely go back with our Keiki out of the oven.
